Dr Fergus Jack trained at Cambridge and London, qualifying in 1988. He previously worked as a consultant haematologist at North Tyneside General Hospital and an honorory lecturer in haematology at the University of Newcastle upon Tyne. He is now a consultant in haematology at Poole Hospital NHS Trust in Dorset and haematology editor of Labtests Online.
His interests include
- Haemato-oncology - lymphoma, leukaemia, myeloma, myelodysplasia and stem cell tranplantation.
- General haematology - disorders of bleeding and tendency to blood clots (thrombophilia), haemoglobinopathies.
